It's only a game . . .

As a soccer coach it is not always easy to remain in good humor particularly if your team has just produced a less than admirable performance despite all of your great preparation work.

We would all do well to remember that it is after all only a game. The NOGA staffs favorite coach for keeping his sense of humor no matter what is Gordon Strachan. Presently the coach of Celtic in Scotland. His wit and humor while sometimes a little harsh on the paparazzi is a joy and reminds us all that it is after all only a game and we should not take it all too seriously.

Reporter: "Gordon, can we have a quick word please?"
Strachan: "Velocity" [walks off]

Reporter: "Gordon, what did you think of that offside decision?"
Strachan: I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yoghurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today.

Reporter: This might sound like a daft question, but you'll be happy to get your first win under your belt, won't you?
Strachan: You're right. It is a daft question. I'm not even going to bother answering that one. It is a daft question.

Reporter: Bang, there goes your unbeaten run. Can you take it?
Strachan: No, I'm just going to crumble like a wreck. I'll go home, become an alcoholic and maybe! Jump off a bridge. Umm, I think I can take it, yeah.

Reporter: Where will Marion Pahars fit into the team line-up?
Strachan: Not telling you! It's a secret.

Reporter: So, Gordon, in what areas do you think Middlesbrough were better than you today?
Strachan: What areas? Mainly that big green one out there....

Reporter: "What is your impression of David Beckham?"
Strachan: "I don't do impressions"

Reporter: So Gordon, any changes then ?
Strachan: Naw, I'm still 5ft 6, ginger hair, and a big nose!

Reporter: Gordon, any plans for Europe this year?
Strachan: Aye, me and the wife quite fancy Spain in August.

Reporter: Gordon, if you were English, what formation would you play?
Gordon Strachan: If I was English I'd kill myself!

UMBRO Math

UMBRO has been the official apparel supplier of NOGA since 1985 and each summer our staff can be seen in UMBRO uniforms while all of our players receive an UMBRO Tee shirt

UMBRO is one of the most respected soccer suppliers in the world. But hey, we all make mistakes. At England's last game against Uruguay, UMBRO unveiled the latest England uniform that the team will wear in this summers World Cup.

Striker Peter Crouch came on as substitute and changed the game with a superbly taken goal. He also wore an UMBRO shirt that had the number 21 printed on the front and the number 12 on the back? But, there are no mistakes on the UMBRO website were you can find a range of entertaining and interesting soccer information including a section devoted to NOGA.

NOGA Pinball Wizards

NOGA staff are a competitive bunch. It must come from those hours out on the field. But, whether it is who supports the best team or, who can do the most juggles or even eat the most cookies in a minute there is always a competition of some sort going on in the NOGA offices.

Right now it is who is the NOGA Pinball Wizard at the Pepsi Soccer Pinball Challenge. To be honest, we are not too sure what it has to do with soccer - but it's certainly an entertaining game. So, when your homework is done, see if you can beat David Stapletons high score of 73,477,239.
